daily sales calls on existing customers with special emphasis on the sale of hardwood and laminate floor products; present products to the retail dealers, builders, designers, contractors and other end users, and analyze all leads provided by corporate or pubic information. Additional responsibilities expanded to include selling and construction of sampleís racks.
1, Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, telephone directories, the Internet, and other sources.
2, To call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talks with customers on the sales floor, by phone, and via e-mail.
3, To develop and grow CanTrustís business through the account base in the assigned geographical area. This is accomplished through the development of an inter-personal relationship with the customer, based on trust and integrity.
4, Ensure that the business grows through sample placement, and the implementation of all flooring programs designed to help the dealer grow his business with CanTrust.
5, Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of CanTrust's stock, production and delivery schedules.
6, Prepares reports of business transactions.
7, Represents company at trade association meetings to promote products. Must assemble and tear down display fixtures.
8, Assists other departments within the organization to prepare manuals and technical publications.
9, Prepares periodic sales reports showing sales volume and potential sales.
10, Must have the ability to make good judgment decisions.
11, an understanding of the end-use application that each product serves is critical.
12, The ability to interface/communicate with a diverse group of customers in a friendly and respectable manner. Possess a flexible personality.
13, To accomplish the goals and objectives, a TM must have good organizational skills, be able to set itineraries or a work plan, and measure the results of what has been accomplished.
Previous sales experience in the hardwood flooring industry is a must. High School Diploma/GED is required.
